Greetings from Whistler, !
Summer is now just weeks away (which mean PRIDE season is upon us) and we have been working on some exciting programming for both this summer season as well as this coming winter! Firstly we would like to thank our generous sponsors for playing a big part in the success of this past season. We gave away some exciting trips including a Heli Ski Trip with CMH Heli Ski, a trip to Switzerland with Tourism Switzerland, and a trip down under to Australia with Air New Zealand. We also experienced Mr. Gay World which would never have been possible without the incredible financial support of the Eric Butter Foundation. In our next newsletter we will be announcing some of our 2010 sponsors as well as our hotel partners. Secondly the sun is shining and the crisp mountain air is giving way to a fresh warm alpine breeze giving our die hard skiers some epic spring turns, and our mountain bikers, white water rafters, golfers and hikers some incredible terrain to experience. If you have yet to experience Whistler in the summer this is the year to try it out. Take in the awe inspiring Peak 2 Peak Gondola taking your alpine hiking experience to a whole new altitude! Finally, yes we are working non stop on programming for 2010. It is going to be a truly incredible year as the resort of Whistler plays host to three back to back festivals - The Olympics, WinterPRIDE, and the Paralympic Winter Games. Earlier this month we announced that we will be hosting the first ever " PRIDE House" and making Olympic history by having a queer space for our guests, athletes, friends, family to hang out and watch the games and meet other like minded people. Watch for more details coming in the next several months.
