Thank you again for volunteering as a ski guide which was such a big part of the magic of the 2008 WinterPRIDE festival. Through your efforts you helped to make this festival the #1 Gay Ski Week in the World as voted by PlanetOUT/Gay.com as well as the #1 Lesbian Welcoming Ski Week in the World as bestowed upon us by the editors of Out Traveler.
For 2009, we are thrilled to share with you this year's theme: "Around the World in Eight Days" as this year GayWhistler gets to play host to the
Mr. Gay World Competition. We thought it only fitting to embrace the globe trotting gnome as seen on "The Amazing Race" - so this year's ski guiding program is being branded "Never Roam Alone - Travelocity Ski Guides." We are so excited to have Tavelocity on board as our primary sponsor for you, the Ski Guides. Over the next several months we will be working with Travelocity to enhance the program and once we have more information to share we will.
For the past two years, John Sutherland and Margaret Smith headed up WinterPRIDE's ski guiding program and have been your fearless leaders. Sadly, for this year John has other committments and won't be able to return. Thank you John for all your hard work and all you have done to upgrade and improve the program. You rock. The good news is that we have another great skier to fill those big ski boots. We are proud to announce and welcome Margaret Smith and Ingrid Walker as the 2009 Co- Managers for the "Never Roam Alone-Travelocity Ski Guides"!

We are very pleased
Margaret is continuing on again this year as a Co-Manager. She has been a regular at Whistler's gay ski week since the beginning and has guided for many years. Her lawyer background and extensive ski industry experience only helps us to ensure our product is both professional and fun.
Ingrid
is a ski pro with the Whistler Ski School and was a key guide for us last year. She was also quite instrumental in getting our WinterPRIDE women's program up and running in 2008. Ingrid has great passion for the festival and her years of experience as a Ski School Instructor as well as her Military Training in the Canadian Navy gives us the confidence she will help to make the program run like clock work, with the balance of fun, respect and creating epic memories along the way.
