Whistler, BC - Whistler's WinterPRIDE 2009 welcomes Leigh Cousins and Mandy Randhawa producers of Vancouver's award winning Lesbian production and event company, Flygirl.  "Building on the success of the past two years in growing the lesbian attendance at WinterPRIDE we felt that we needed to take a bold move and bring on our team an award winning production company to bring the 2009 programming up another notch" says Dean Nelson, CEO of GayWhistler.  "Leigh & Mandy are the perfect addition to our women's team as their core values are in sync with our own values of creating safe, fun, welcoming and inclusive spaces for our guests to be themselves at."
 
Flygirl will be primarily responsible for two key parties during WinterPRIDE - the Friday, February 6th party at the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre with a sensory extravaganza. Burlesque dancers, lingerie models, sex toy demos, not to mention a kickin' groove that'll keep everyone dancing 'til the wee hours of the morning.  The second party is the Saturday, February 7th all girl party to a whole new altitude, larger and exciting venue, extraordinary surprises to keep you begging for more, and if that's not enough you can keep going at Snowball Dance 'Till Dawn!  "We are honored to be part of the 17th Anniversary of Gay Ski Week in Whistler and look forward in building the women's brand 2009 and beyond", says Cousins, "having women around the globe saying this is the place to be in February!"

In addition to the world-class skiing and snowboarding being offered in Whistler, many of WinterPRIDE's 2008 highlights will return for 2009, such as an array of dance parties, culinary events, zip trekking and dog sledding. WinterPRIDE 2009 also offers an expanded program of on-and-off mountain events, including special events for lesbians and bears.
