As you may have heard there have been a few structural changes with our Team at GayWhistler and Alpenglow Productions.  Our team of five:  Sean, Mark, Wayne, Tatiana and Dean all came together three years ago to save the annual gay ski week and over the next several years worked hard at creating the annual event into a leading global festival earning us the title this past season as the #1 Gay Ski Week in the world by PlanetOUT / Gay.com as well as the #1 Lesbian welcoming Ski week by Out Traveler.
 
On July 25th, 2008 Dean Nelson became the sole owner of GayWhistler and has been working on assembling a new team to continue to move the festival forward.  Ken Coolen, Vancouver Pride Parade Director has joined the team as an equal partner and will assume the role of COO, Operations and Finance.  Tatiana has agreed to help with the transition for the interim while Sean, Mark and Wayne have all moved on with other projects.  ".  I could not think of a more appropriate person to continue the GayWhistler focus and attention to the gay travel market than Dean.  He has the drive, passion and love for Whistler and the gay travel market that will continue the great work that has been done over the past several years.  I wish Dean and the Whistler community all the best in the years to come."  Said, Sean Kearns - former President of GayWhistler.
