Alpenglow Productions Corp/GayWhistler Shareholder becomes Sole Owner
Dean Nelson becomes Sole Owner 
Vancouver, BC - July 25th 2008, Dean Nelson has reached agreement with the remaining shareholders of Alpenglow Productions Corporation and GayWhistler.com to acquire all shares of both companies giving Nelson 100% ownership.
"We (the shareholders) are all very happy that the sale of APC and GayWhistler to Dean means that the company will remain Whistler based. The shareholders came together three years ago to save the annual Gay Ski Week event that has become one of Whistler's largest festivals and together we grew it to the number one Gay Ski Week in the world. Now it is time to pass the torch and we are happy Dean Nelson an existing APC shareholder has stepped forward to keep the company local." Said Sean Kearns former President of APC and GayWhistler.com.
"This is a very exciting time," Dean Nelson sole owner of Alpenglow Productions said. "I have been working hard over the past several months assembling a new team to take the Whistler festival to another level and beyond. Having worked with Vancouver Pride for the past two years there are some exciting synergies and relationships built that will contribute to building the event's success. In the coming weeks I look forward in unveiling the new team and vision."
Kearns continues, "For the past five years I have been working in sharing with my gay and lesbian friends worldwide the destination of Whistler, so I created GayWhistler.com. Together with Alpenglow Productions that dream was realized resulting in increasing Whistler's profile to the gay market and the response has been monumental. I could not think of a more appropriate person to continue the GayWhistler focus and attention to the gay travel market than Dean Nelson. He has the drive, passion and love for Whistler and the gay travel market that will continue the great work that has been done over the past five years. I wish Dean and the Whistler community all the best in the years to come."
