United Infrared™
Announces the Launch of EnergyScanIR™
United Infrared™, a sister
company of Stockton Infrared, announces the launch of its first service module,
EnergyScanIR™. United Infrared
Inc. is a corporation providing a complete and application-specific resource
system for infrared contractors across the United States. EnergyScanIR™
is a network of trained infrared thermographers with a simple goal...to help
homeowners save energy. The service helps reduce energy consumption,
leading to savings on energy costs. EnergyScanIR™'s trained affiliates
will evaluate customer's homes from top to bottom and present the homeowner
with a graphic detailed report identifying the locations of heat losses.
"The most unique aspect of this service is that we are a nationwide
network of local thermographers," states Greg Stockton. "That enables
us to provide very affordable pricing for homeowners. For example, a basic
survey for a home up to 2,500 square feet in our operational area is only
$299," Mr. Stockton concludes.
"Energy Savings is an important
issue for our customer base," states Peter Hopkins, VP and National
Operations Manager. "This unique system not only enables us to
assist homeowners with energy savings but also to help infrared thermographers
in growing their individual businesses," he concludes.
United Infrared™ is comprised of a selection of service modules that infrared
thermography contractors can purchase to help start up a new business or
supplement a current business. When an infrared thermographer joins the
network, they receive training resources as well as discounts on infrared
equipment available only to network members. In addition, thermographers
receive sales leads for a specific territory, which will be sold on a
"first come, first serve" basis, as territories are limited. Also
included are sales and marketing resources specific to the infrared service
industry designed by professionals with decades of industry experience. For
each module, there is a complete set of marketing strategies, training, report
templates, applicable legal documents and network considerations.
The other service modules are in development and will be launched soon.

Lee Richard Allen
Sr., 83, passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2008 after a long illness. He was a
true pioneer in infrared thermography applications.
I met Lee in the
late 1980's when I was a building contractor. We worked on thermography
projects together for 18 years. We would shoot anything with an infrared camera
and did ... just about everything ... furnaces, buildings, microcircuits, all things
electrical and mechanical.
He was comfortable
in any setting. Lee had a unassuming style that made people feel comfortable
around him and he was always the cool cucumber - even the day I called him to
tell him that I let a robot in a factory knock over the $70,000 scanner onto the
floor, and it would not start back up.
Lee was my friend
and my mentor in infrared technology. I miss him and so will the entire
infrared world.

JOIN US FOR IR/INFO
2009!
BuildScanIR™,
SITS's network for Building Infrared Thermographers, is a co-sponsor of IR/INFO
2009. On Wednesday, January 21st, the Building Infrared Session will be held
throughout the morning. Papers presented include a workshop on building
sciences, building physics, air barrier testing, home inspectors and infrared
thermography, and finding and documenting building moisture using infrared
thermography. There will be a open panel discussion just before lunch dealing
with all issues in building thermography.
After
lunch, there is a post-conference workshop "Infrared Surveying of CMU (Concrete
Block) Walls" presented by Greg Stockton. This workshop will explain the
need, building physics involved, techniques for successful surveying, and market
potential for thermography contractors interested in getting into CMU IR
testing. Cost to attend for one day is just $149 and includes continental
breakfast, building IR session, lunch and the post-conference workshop.
IR/Info is being held January 18-21, 2009 in Orlando, Florida
at the Holiday Inn on International
Drive.
Whether
you are a return or new guest, expect to hear and share success stories,
proven techniques, and interesting case histories. Learn more about program and
cost justification, results of technological research, and equipment updates.
Network, discuss and find solutions and answers to your thermographic
challenges and questions. Be proactive and be part of an exchange of
information that is practical and relevant, clear and comprehensive. Return to
your company armed with knowledge that you can share and apply to the benefit
of all!
Cost to attend the entire conference is only $995! It is not to late to

Stockton Infrared's
AITscan™ Division Acquires Mega-pixel IR Imaging System
Stockton Infrared
Thermographic Services, Inc. (SITS) announces that its AITscan™ Division has
acquired a ThermoVision SC8000 Infrared Imaging System from FLIR Systems, Inc.
Stockton Infrared is one of the USA's leading providers of infrared (IR)
thermographic services. SITS was founded by Gregory R. Stockton in 1989 and has
innovated numerous infrared applications. The AITscan™ division provides aerial
infrared thermographic surveys to locate roof moisture, detect steam leaks,
detect pollution and provide specialized thermal mapping services to military
bases, campuses, large facilities, and local and city municipalities. The
new imaging system will be utilized primarily to provide thermal mapping services
throughout North America. The 1024 x 1024
system offers high speed IR imaging, so it will also be used to conduct
scientific research.
"This new system will allow us to fly larger areas and acquire higher
resolution imagery of those areas, providing our customers with increased value
for their money," stated Mr. Stockton.
"We have six very high-resolution imaging systems in our division, but
this is the first Mega-pixel system" said Alejandro Tache, AITscan
Division manager. "We will be using this system for our most challenging
projects, and plan to develop some new applications for energy saving
programs", he concludes.
