Whew.. Summer is flying by. We hope you've had some time to relax and focus on yourself this summer. Now that you've read the article with the case for social media, be sure to share our service with a patient or caregiver who could benefit from it. There are many ways to share our service so that those affected by cancer can create an online support community and begin benefiting from the connections and inspiration.   

 

    • On our homepage click on "Tell a Friend" in the bottom left corner. This will send them an email about MyLifeLine.org.
    • Forward this newsletter to them, so they can read the article mentioned above and learn about the benefits of social media.    
    • Like us on facebook and share our page with your friends. On facebook we'll post tips, event news, resources, and more 
    • Follow us on twitter and you'll find tips to help someone with cancer, event announcements from MyLifeLine.org and other cancer non-profits, resources for cancer patients, and much much more.

food Recipe of the Month: Chicken Salad Wrap



Ingredients
  • Whole cooked chicken, cubed
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 2 small gala apples, chopped
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 3 cups grapes, halved
  • Handful of raisins
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • Handful of cranberries
  • 1 cup walnuts or almonds
  • 1 cup mayo
  • Squirt of mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  •  Mix all of ingredients together in a large bowl. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
  • On a whole wheat wrap, place leaf lettuce and sliced tomato in the middle of the wrap.  

  • Put a scoop or two of prepared chicken salad on the lettuce and tomato.  

  • Roll up tightly, cut in half, enjoy!
