We offer holistic health programs that will radically change your view on food, nutrition, and life. The programs are typically implemented across six months, because true change never happens quickly and involves a gradual transition from old habits to newer, healthier ways. Our programs will help balance all aspects of your life: career, relationships, physical activity, spirituality, and food. Come explore if an Inspired To Health program is right for you or someone in your life. The initial consultation will provide valuable information to help on your path to vibrant health and better eating. |

Greetings!
Our hearts are so amazing. We need to love them up! It's truly fascinating how they just keep beating. We must care for our hearts to keep them healthy and strong. I don't know if I can think of anything that should take precedence over this. There are many ways we can tend to our hearts both internally and externally. I recommend getting educated on how to best maintain a healthy heart and take it seriously for the rest of your life! Below I have given a few tips. We also need to surround ourselves with others that take good care of our hearts as well and give us love! Intuition is greatly heart centered so that is another important thing that your heart provides for you. Learn to listen to what it has to tell you.
Lovingly, Lynn |

Heart Health
Because heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, it's important to know what you need to do to prevent heart disease for yourself and your family.
1. Get out and move your body. Physical exercise is crucial for a healthy heart. Our heart is a muscle and we want to make it stronger!
2. Eat your vegetables. Vegetables are loaded with fiber. Build more fiber into your diet. Fiber helps to lower cholesterol levels, and also lowers blood pressure and blood sugar.
3. Don't smoke, and avoid second hand smoke. Tobacco use causes heart damage and 150,000 fatal heart attacks each year. Second hand smoke is considered to be "passive" smoking and causes 35,000 deaths from heart attack in the U.S each year.
4. Go easy on dairy products. Be cautious with fats in your diet, limiting saturated fats from animal sources. Get enough healthy fats such as olive oil, nuts, salmon, etc.
5. Floss your teeth every day. The bacteria that causes the gum disease gingavitis has been linked to diseased arteries in heart attack patients.
6. Touch and be touched. Many scientific studies have shown that people who were touched lovingly every day had significantly fewer heart problems than the control group.
7. Eat seaweeds. Seaweeds have been shown to stabilize blood pressure, regulate levels of triglycerides, phospholipids and cholesterols, dissolve fatty build-ups in the blood vessels, restore cardiac efficiency, prolong the life of the heart muscle, and encourage a steady heart beat.
8. Eat foods rich in beta-carotenes. They can cut your risk of a stroke by 40 percent. Foods rich in beta-carotenes include carrots, cabbage, winter squash, sweet potatoes, dark leafy greens, apricots, and seaweed.
9. Eat garlic. Study after study has confirmed garlic's abilities to lower blood pressure, reduce phospholipids and cholesterol, strengthen heart action, increase immune response, reduce platelet clumping and clotting (thus reducing strokes) and stabilize blood sugar levels. Eat garlic raw or lightly cooked. (Eat parsley or parsley supplement after to help curtail odor.)
10. Avoid restrictive and radical diets. Frequent dieting, fasting, binging and purging imbalance your electrolyte levels, causing weakening of the heart muscle and damage to the heart.
11. Monitor your blood pressure levels frequently. 25% of Americans have hypertension which strains the heart and damages arteries. People with high blood pressure have twice the risk of heart attack. If you do have hypertension, eat less salt and increase your potassium and calcium levels.
12. See your doctor every year. Have yearly physicals so your doctor can check your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. An EKG is also a wise idea. QUESTION what FOODS... will help NOT just pharmaceutical drugs!
13. KEEP IT OPEN! :)
The medicinal effects of healthy foods, exercise and lifestyle on your heart are extremely powerful and in your own control!!! |

Testimonials:
"I want to thank you Lynn for bringing your stress management training program to Miller Canfield Law Firm. We look for training programs that offer a double benefit: they must be helpful to the company's success and individually enjoyable and beneficial for the employees. It is rare for us to find programs that do both things well. Your combination of practical ideas and tools for personal insight is balanced and practical. Attendees appreciate that the Firm offers training for them, personally- not just professional education. We were especially appreciative that you worked with us to design a presentation that addressed issues unique to our business culture. You have helped us send the message to our employees that we are serious about the importance of a balanced life."
Suzanne Schultz, General Manager - Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone LLC., Law Firm
"I recommend Lynn to all of my friends, collegues and others when health issues are discussed. She is an amazing listener and extremely insightful. Our counseling sessions and her recommendations have transformed my life. I was leery at first about having a health counselor since I have always thought I can do anything on my own. Afterwards, I couldn't be happier with the changes in my life due to Lynn."
Jack Clayton, CEO - Design Architecture Firm
"Lynn, at Inspired to Health, helped me to change my entire relationship with food and to take control of my life! I had been on every diet imaginable and my weight had yo-yoed my entire life. Lynn helped me learn to listen to my body and take small steps to change my dysfunctional habits. I lost weight without denying myself of many of the foods I love. Lynn helped educate me about how delicious food can be that is actually good for my body! My energy levels and whole life has changed for the better as has my respect for myself and my health. Lynn's approach and caring nature creates a safe space, motivation and inspiration for change and growth. Thank you! Thank you!"
