Message From Donna and Elle

Now that fall is in full swing and we are back to our daily routines, we begin to feel stressed from the many things we find ourselves juggling. The effects of our summer vacations can only so last so long.  Luckily, Pilates and Gyrotonic always makes us feel stronger and more confident, look better, have more energy, and have the benefit from a clear mind that comes from intelligent exercise. It's great to back!

In this issue, we unveil our new fall schedule, discuss breast cancer awareness month, get healthy living advice from CFM instructor Melissa and get inspired by CFM instructor Danielle in our "talk with the teacher" segment.

Haven't read our blog yet? Check out our newest addition, which is called She Says.....She Says, The voices behind the Pilates Purists tackling the week's hottest topics.  Also, don't miss our latest Teacher Spotlight entry, a candid discussion with Tara Harrison-Dancu.

Best in health,

 Instructor
Instructor & Staff Corner

We are excited to have a few new instructors added to the CFM team.

Kate RusselKate Russel has been a dancer and artist her whole life.  Her qualifications include: a Certificate in Dance from the Ailey School, a BA in Design from Central St Martins College in London, and a Masters Degree in Dance and Somatic Well-Being.  She is a licensed Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis trainer as well as a certified Pilates instructor.  She has been practicing Gyrotonic for 4 years and is excited to share this amazing movement modality with you. Kate is teaching Tuesdays (7am -12pm) & Thursdays (7am - 2pm).

Andrea Lanzetti

Andrea Lanzetti has been dancing since the age of 6. She studied dance at DeSales University where she discovered Pilates. Andrea moved to NYC in the fall of 2010 and began dancing professionally with several modern dance companies. She received her Pilates mat certification through LindaFit (the renowned Linda Farrell) in 2012 and fell in love with teaching mat classes.  Her class is designed to help the individual find their own personal balance of strength, flexibility, breath, and body awareness. No matter your level of experience, your class with Andrea will provide you with a challenge while offering your mind and your body a balanced experience.  Andrea is teaching a mat class at 2nd Ave on Mondays/Thursdays at 5pm.

Christine RandazzoChristine Randazzo received her comprehensive Pilates certificationfrom  Core Pilates. After graduating from Hofstra University, Christine used her fluency in Italian to venture into the NYC restaurant industry. This parlayed into a career in wine sales. The physical demand of her job led her to begin taking Pilates as a way to rehabilitate her back from an injury. She soon fell in love with the method and decided to become an instructor and help others find the benefit of a mind body workout. Christine is teaching classes at 2nd Ave on Mondays & Thursdays as well as private sessions on Wednesday/ Thursday at Lexington.

Merita Music who worked at our Lexington front desk has left CFM after 5 years to start her career as an Immigration Officer. Although we were saddened to see her leave we couldn't be happier for her. Teresa Sheffield who has taken over for Merita just moved here from Kansas City to pursue her dream of becoming a comedy writer.
