Craft Bag Class
Monday January 9th 9:30-12:30 Fee $30.00
Need a bag for carrying or storing crafts or miscellaneous items than you will want to attend this class. You will learn to attach a patch pocket, make a fabric handle and do topstitching.
Embroidery Club Wednesday January 11th 1 to 2p.m Fee: None Everyone with an embroidery machine is welcome. This is an opportunity to meet with other embroiders and share ideas and make fun projects. Thank you to all who helped create the quilt for the drawing and to those who purchased tickets. The donation to Feed My People was very much appreciated. Congratulations to our winner Nonie Saunchegrow.
The club meets the second Wednesday of each month. This month Dorothy will be doing a mini maintenance demo on the Ellisimo embroidery machine but this information will apply to most all embroidery machines. You won't want to miss this informative demonstration. Don't forget to bring your sew n tell.
Beginning Sewing - Teacher Dorothy York/Vicki Brown Thursday January 12th, 19th and 26th February 2nd 6:00 - 7:30 Fee: $90.00 In this class you will learn the basic use and control of a sewing machine as well as how to read a pattern. You will make a pair of pajama pants. This four week class is a must for the beginning sewer. A supply list is available upon signing up for the class. Class will include the fabric, thread and pattern needed.
Child Dress/Jumper Class

Would you just love to make an adorable jumper/dress for that special little girl. Come and join us and learn to make this cute dress. You will leave having learned how to put binding on an armhole and how to make a casing. This class is suitable for a beginner. Hopscotch Quilt - Teacher Betty Adams Saturday January 14th 10:00 -3:00 Fee:20.00 Do you need to make a quilt for a gift for that special birthday, anniversary or wedding shower and don't have too much time left? This cute quilt requires only three yards of fabric. Choose one yard of your favorite fabric and two coordinates to make this easy quilt top. It is a great lap quilt or baby quilt. The pattern will be supplied.
Wrap Apron Class-Teacher: Vicki Brown Wednesday January 18th 10:00 - 12:30 Fee: $20.00 This apron was inspired by a vintage design and reinvented with modern style and details. It is reversible, so you could use coordinating fabrics or choose to pick two fabrics for different holidays or events. Makes a great gift for just about anyone. Pattern is included in the cost of the class.
Charity Sewing for ALS Foundation Thursday January 19th 9:00am to 5:00pm Fee: None It's a great feeling to help someone in need, and that's what we will be doing on this day. Come in and help us make lap quilts for ALS(Lou Gehrigs disease) patients. We have extra fabric to make the quilts, but if you would like to donate fabric, it would be greatly appreciated. These will be simple quilts, perfect for the beginner, and a good time will be had by all. Machines will be available so drop by at your leisure for whatever time you have.
Beginning Quilting - Teacher: Betty Adams Friday January 27th 10:00-2:00 Fee: $20 Learn the technique used to make a quilt from start to finish. In this class you will learn use a rotary cutter, make your blocks, put your layers together with backing, batting and top, and also bind your quilt. Kit is included in the class fee. You can register for class either at the store or by phone. Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid in person at the store, by credit card over the phone, or with a check through the mail. A paid class fee is the only thing that guarantees your spot in class and prevents you from being "bumped: when the class fills. Class registration closes three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date. No fees will be refunded or credits issued for a missed class. Our commitment to our instructors does not allow make-up classes. Refunds or in-store credits will be issued only if: (a) The store cancels the class, or (b) You notify us three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date. Only registered students may attend a class. Any one "sitting-in" must also register. In order to provide high-quality sewing education, we REQUIRE that FABRIC for classes be purchased at Fenton Sew N Vac. Students are eligible to receive a 10% discount off regular priced merchandise for class materials and/or for purchases of regularly priced merchandise on the day of the class. Please refrain from using colognes and perfumes; someone in class may have an allergic reaction to heavy fragrances. The classroom opens 15 minutes before scheduled class time.
