With September comes cool crisp air and memories of those Friday night football games and hanging with friends.  Of course there was always homework and chores to be done too.  Life was so simple then but of course we didn't realize or appreciate it.  Today when fall is so nearly upon us I enjoy being able to have the window open in my sewing room as  I begin a new quilt, or maybe I'll try that new embroidery design I just brought home.   Whatever your fall memories are or what activity you do I hope you are enjoying yourself.

Corner Trimmer

This tool can be used to trim any corners of any right angle triangle . Trimmed corners promote accurate piecing, eliminate"dog ears" before sewing and reduce bulk at corners for easier quilting.  A must have for all quilters!!

Missouri Star Quilt Class

The Missouri Star is one of Betty's favorite blocks. It is not a beginning block, but if you have had some experience, you will be able to make this block. You will learn a shortcut for making quarter square triangles. Just select your favorite colors and have fun.

Embroidery Club

LeMoyne Star (Stack and Whack) - Teacher: Betty Adams

Back due to popular demand! Learn the simple yet beautiful technique of Stack and Whack. Each star makes a different pattern using the same fabric. This is truly an amazing style of piecing. You'll be hooked on the stack and whack technique. Fabric to be purchased from Fenton Sew N Vac. Basic Quilting supplies needed.

You can register for class either at the store or by phone.  Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid in person at the store, by credit card over the phone, or with a check through the mail.  A paid class fee is the only thing that guarantees your spot in class and prevents you from being "bumped: when the class fills.

Class registration closes three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.

No fees will be refunded or credits issued for a missed class.  Our commitment to our instructors does not allow make-up classes.  Refunds or in-store credits will be issued only if: (a) The store cancels the class, or (b) You notify us three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.

Only registered students may attend a class.  Any one "sitting-in" must also register.

In order to provide high-quality sewing education, we ask that materials and supplies for classes be purchased at Sew N Vac whenever possible.  Students are eligible to receive a 10% discount off regular priced merchandise for class materials and/or for purchases of regularly priced merchandise on the day of the class.

Please refrain from using colognes and perfumes; someone in class may have an allergic reaction to heavy fragrances.

The classroom opens 15 minutes before scheduled class time.
