Beginning Sewing - Teacher Dorothy York/Vicki Brown

In this class you will learn the basic use and control of a sewing machine as well as how to read a pattern.   You will make a pair of pajama pants. This four-week class is a must for the beginning sewer. A supply list is available upon signing up for the class.   Class will include the fabric, thread and pattern needed.

Beginning Quilting - Teacher:  Betty Adams

Learn to make a quilt from beginning to end.  We will be making the Quilt Block in the class.  You will piece, quilt and bind a small sample in one class.  Use these methods to make other quilts or projects. Kit is supplied.

Sewing Guild

Fenton Daytime, a chapter of the American Sewing Guild will be meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00. Come learn and share projects with a great group.

Embroidery Club

Everyone with an embroidery machine is welcome. This is an opportunity to meet with other embroiders and share ideas and make fun projects.  Club meets the second Wednesday of each month.  Call for details as to what we are making and to get a supply list. Don't forget to bring your sew n tell.

This item can be used in many different ways.  Make it as large or small as you want.  You may use it as a table topper; add more strips to four of the sides to make a table runner.

Stars and Crosses Quilt Class -Teacher- Betty Adams

Diamonds are a girl's best friend!  Stars and Crosses will be your "brightest gem" when you find out how easy this traditional pattern is to make.  Template free diamonds!  No inset seams!  No bulky centers!  This pattern is "forever"!  Eleanor Burns is known for her shortcuts and handy quilting techniques.

Basic Machine Appliqué Class - Teacher: Dorothy York

Wednesday June 29^th                           10:00 - 12:00                                      Fee: $15.00

Come in and learn a very classic technique for embellishing. This will be accomplished using a basic stitch on the sewing machine.  This is a great way to start using all that fabric stash you have collected. You may bring your machine or use one of ours.

You can register for class either at the store or by phone.  Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid in person at the store, by credit card over the phone, or with a check through the mail.  A paid class fee is the only thing that guarantees your spot in class and prevents you from being "bumped: when the class fills.

Class registration closes three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.

No fees will be refunded or credits issued for a missed class.  Our commitment to our instructors does not allow make-up classes.  Refunds or in-store credits will be issued only if: (a) The store cancels the class, or (b) You notify us three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.

Only registered students may attend a class.  Any one "sitting-in" must also register.

In order to provide high-quality sewing education, we ask that materials and supplies for classes be purchased at Sew N Vac whenever possible.  Students are eligible to receive a 10% discount off regular priced merchandise for class materials and/or for purchases of regularly priced merchandise on the day of the class.

Please refrain from using colognes and perfumes; someone in class may have an allergic reaction to heavy fragrances.

The classroom opens 15 minutes before scheduled class time.
