Fenton Daytime, a chapter of the American Sewing Guild will be meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00. Come learn and share projects with a great group.
This month Corporal Williams from the Jefferson County Drug Task Force will be giving a talk on the needs of children that have been removed from their homes and the special needs the department has regarding these children.
Double Irish Chain Quilt - Teacher: Betty Adams

LeMoyne Star II (Stack and Whack) - Teacher: Betty Adams
**Requires that you have taken the first Lemoyne Star in making the blocks

This is the second class for the Lemoyne Star Stack and Whack. In this class you will bring your blocks that you have made from class one and learn to make the sashing and setting squares that put your blocks together. Fabric to be purchased from Fenton Sew N Vac. Basic sewing supplies needed.
Sweatshirt Makeover - Teacher: Vicki Brown

The weather is cold and you want to wear that sweatshirt, but feel it looks too casual. Take this class and learn to remake the sweatshirt over into a beautiful cardigan. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to look wonderful in this warm classic. We supply the fabric for trim and you must supply the white sweatshirt for class.
Embroidery Club
Wednesday February 9th 1 to 2p.m Fee: None
Everyone with an embroidery machine is welcome. This is an opportunity to meet with other embroiders and share ideas and make fun projects. Club meets the second Wednesday of each month. Call for details as to what we are making and to get a supply list. Don't forget to bring your sew n tell.
Learning to use Thangles - Teacher: Robin Zimmer

Come and learn the technique for using Thangles, this wonderful tool will help you make the most of your quilting and short work of those half square triangles. This class includes kit and fabric needed.
Paper Piecing Technique - Teacher: Vicki Brown

Do you have a hard time parting with your extra scraps, but don't know what to do with them? You've heard of paint by number, this is piece by number! Come learn the techniques used in paper piecing. This application has many uses, quilts, pillows, and wall hangings. Use your extra scraps of fabric up in no time. Come join in the fun while we learn the joys of paper piecing. Kit supplied. Basic sewing supplies needed. This month is the Tulip Design.
Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt - Teacher: Betty Adams

Looking for a way to use all those scraps or 5" charm squares. Come learn to make this fun and easy quilt. Great for baby quilts, throws or full size quilts. LeMoyne Star Stack and Whack (class 1) - Teacher: Betty Adams

Back due to popular demand! Learn the simple yet beautiful technique of Stack and Whack. Each star makes a different pattern using the same fabric. This is truly an amazing style of piecing. You'll be hooked on the stack and whack technique. Class is given in two sessions. Next month will be the second class on finishing (sashing and setting squares. The fee is for both classes. Letterworks III for Embroiderers - Teacher: Robin Zimmer

Need to learn how to make beautiful Monograms? Having difficulty figuring out how to put letters into your designs? Come and let us teach you how easy it is to use Letterworks III, the Designers Gallery software for your computer. Anyone may attend, even if you haven't purchased it yet and are just thinking of purchasing the software.
Day & Night Quilt (By Eleanor Burns)- Teacher: Betty Adams
Saturday February 19th 10:00-2:00 Fee: $40
This is a Spectacular old pattern that was published by Old Chelsea Station Needlecraft Service in 1933. It was originally a paper pieced block, but in Eleanor's style, has been redone over into a strip quilting design using a template. Book included with class. Fabric must be purchased from Fenton Sew N Vac.
Kids Club For kids 9-13 years of age
Saturday February 26th choose from 10:00, 12:00 or 2:00 class Fee: $15
Class last for one hour and the kids will create a simple sewing project to take home.
You can register for class either at the store or by phone. Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid in person at the store, by credit card over the phone, or with a check through the mail. A paid class fee is the only thing that guarantees your spot in class and prevents you from being "bumped: when the class fills.
Class registration closes three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.
No fees will be refunded or credits issued for a missed class. Our commitment to our instructors does not allow make-up classes. Refunds or in-store credits will be issued only if: (a) The store cancels the class, or (b) You notify us three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.
Only registered students may attend a class. Any one "sitting-in" must also register.
In order to provide high-quality sewing education, we ask that materials and supplies for classes be purchased at Sew N Vac whenever possible. Students are eligible to receive a 10% discount off regular priced merchandise for class materials and/or for purchases of regularly priced merchandise on the day of the class.
Please refrain from using colognes and perfumes; someone in class may have an allergic reaction to heavy fragrances.
The classroom opens 15 minutes before scheduled class time.
