Sewing Guild (Changed to second Tuesday this month) Tuesday November 9th 10:00 Fee: None
The Stitchers of Hope, a chapter of the American Sewing Guild will be meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00. Come learn and share projects with a great group.
Beginner Sewing Teacher: Sharon Sears
November 3rd and 10th 6:00-7:30 Fee: $80
Learn the basics of beginning sewing. This session you will be making a night gown and pants. Kit is included in the price of the class. Session this time is 6 weeks long and is from 6:00-7:30 each Wednesday night. This is the completion of the October session.
Embroidery Club Wednesday November 10th 1 to 2p.m Fee: None
Everyone with an embroidery machine is welcome. This is an opportunity to meet with other embroiders, share ideas and make fun projects. Club meets the second Wednesday of each month.
Christmas Quilt - Teacher: Betty Adams
Friday November 12th 10:00-2:00 Fee: $20
Tis the season. Get your Christmas quilt ready. Using square in a square construction with a twist. Learn to make the block and put them together with simple sashing and mitered borders. Only nine blocks makes this a quick and simple Christmas lap quilt. Fabric must be purchased from Fenton Sew N Vac. 10% discount applies to fabric and all supplies purchased for class.
Thangles Basic Block Class - Teacher: Betty Adams
Thursday November 18th 2:00-4:00 Fee: $10
Learn to piece a different block each month using Thangles. These are wonderful paper pieces that you can follow the lines when sewing, making half square triangles perfect every time. Join the fun and have a full quilt at the end of one year. Kit supplied.
Beginning Quilt Class
Saturday November 20th 10:00-2:00 Fee: $20
Learn to make a quilt from beginning to end. We will be making the Quilt Block in class. You will piece, quilt and bind a small sample in one class. Use these methods to make other quilts or projects. Kit is supplied for the class.
Kids Club - Teacher: Robin Zimmer Cancelled for November and December due to Holiday Schedule.
You can register for class either at the store or by phone. Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid in person at the store, by credit card over the phone, or with a check through the mail. A paid class fee is the only thing that guarantees your spot in class and prevents you from being "bumped: when the class fills.
Class registration closes three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.
No fees will be refunded or credits issued for a missed class. Our commitment to our instructors does not allow make-up classes. Refunds or in-store credits will be issues only if: (a) The store cancels the class, or (b) You notify us three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.
Only registered students may attend a class. Any one "sitting-in" must also register.
In order to provide high-quality sewing education, we ask that materials and supplies for classes be purchased at Sew N Vac whenever possible. Students are eligible to receive a 10% discount off regular priced merchandise for class materials and/or for purchases of regularly priced merchandise on the day of the class.
Please refrain from using colognes and perfumes; someone in class may have an allergic reaction to heavy fragrances. The classroom opens 15 minutes before scheduled class time. |
