The Stitchers of Hope, a chapter of the American Sewing Guild will be meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00. Come learn and share projects with a great group.
Beginner Sewing - Teacher: Sharon Sears
August 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th 6:00-7:30 Fee: $80
Beginning Sewing class. This months project is a Zippered Tote Bag. Fabric is supplied. Basic sewing supplies are needed for this class.
Embroidery Club
Wednesday August 11th 1 to 2p.m Fee: None
Everyone with an embroidery machine is welcome. This is an opportunity to meet with other embroiders, share ideas and make fun projects. Club meets the second Wednesday of each month. Call for details as to what we are making and to get a supply list. Don't forget to bring your sew n tell.
Basic Applique Class - Teacher: Robin Zimmer
Thursday August 12th 9:00-10:30 Fee: $15
Learn the techniques needed to do your own appliqué on quilts or other items. We will explore 2-3 different options using the sewing machine and stabilizers. This is not machine embroidery appliqué. Kit is supplied.
Hexagon Star Dimensional Table Topper - Teacher: Robin Zimmer
Friday August 13th 10:00-11:30 Fee: $20
This block or placemat can be used in many different ways. Make it as large or small as you want. You may use it as a table topper, add more strips to four of the sides to make a table runner, or assemble blocks together with 60 degree triangles to make a quilt. You choose the one that is right for you.
Beginning Quilting Class (Broken Star) - Teacher: Betty Adams

If you have always wanted to learn how to quilt but were afraid you couldn't do it, this is the class for you. Learn the beginning techniques for making a quilt, using a rotary cutter and ruler, sewing ¼" seams, and squaring up your blocks. Another beginning quilting class. This quilt joins together two different size squares out of 5 fabrics to form a broken star pattern. Simple and easy to learn, this quilt goes together very quickly and can be done in an afternoon. Fabric and notions must be purchased from Fenton Sew N Vac and a 10% discount applies to items purchased for class.
Basic Computer for the Embroiderer - Teacher: Robin Zimmer
Thursday August 19th 10:00-12:00 Fee: $20
Learn the steps needed to transfer designs from disk to computer, create and save files, and organize your designs. This class will help you learn the skills needed to keep track of your designs and transfer them to your machine. Book included in the price of the class. Bring your laptop computer or just follow along and take notes.
60 Degree Stack N Whack Quilt - Teacher: Betty Adams
Thursday August 26th 2:00-6:00 Fee: $20
If you have enjoyed the other stack n whack classes, this is the next one in our series! This quilt uses all 60 degree triangles and makes a secondary star pattern. Fun and easy. Come join us for the next round of Stacking and Whacking.
Kids Club - Teacher: Robin Zimmer Fee: $15

You can register for class either at the store or by phone. Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid in person at the store, by credit card over the phone, or with a check through the mail. A paid class fee is the only thing that guarantees your spot in class and prevents you from being "bumped: when the class fills.
Class registration closes three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.
No fees will be refunded or credits issued for a missed class. Our commitment to our instructors does not allow make-up classes. Refunds or in-store credits will be issues only if: (a) The store cancels the class, or (b) You notify us three (3) days prior to the scheduled class date.
Only registered students may attend a class. Any one "sitting-in" must also register.
In order to provide high-quality sewing education, we ask that materials and supplies for classes be purchased at Sew N Vac whenever possible. Students are eligible to receive a 10% discount off regular priced merchandise for class materials and/or for purchases of regularly priced merchandise on the day of the class.
Please refrain from using colognes and perfumes; someone in class may have an allergic reaction to heavy fragrances.
The classroom opens 15 minutes before scheduled class time.
