Presents: A BORDEAUX TOUR
We invite you to join us from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. this coming Sunday, July 11, for a tasting tour of Bordeaux. We will cover the waterfront, pouring six outstanding wines from left bank and right bank appellations from the 2005 and 2006 vintages. Two wines are rated 89 points, one 92 points and three 93 points, for those of you keeping score. We have selected the wines to demonstrate the essential nature of Bordeaux wines, the grapes and blends used and the varying characteristics elicited from the various soils and climates of Bordeaux. Our aim at the conclusion of this session, for Bordeaux neophytes, is to introduce you to one of the world's most famous wine regions and its wines and to arm you with vital information and a thrilling tasting experience so you will be able to appreciate and enjoy these wines in the months and years ahead; for Bordeaux lovers, we look forward to, perhaps, introducing you to new wine friends.
There is a $25 per person fee for this event, and reservations are required as space is limited. Hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, cheeses and patés will be served. If you would like to make a reservation, please reply to this email, call us at 828.898.9424 or sign up at the store.
