Watching Academy with Don and the Malchovich kids |
Feb 22nd weather: very nice
Tonight Mrs. Malchovich was out for her monthly poetry reading.
Don was responsible for watching the Malchovich kids, Lisa and Kenny, doing their homework. I was in charge of watching Don watching them. But since today was Academy Award day, Don suggested we all watch Academy on TV instead of watching each other.
Lots of beautiful actresses in gorgeous dresses and handsome actors in suits were being interviewed on the show.
"Today is a day for Mickey Rourke!" Don was excited, shouting at TV. He explained to me who every single one of them was.
"Do you know all of them!?" I asked Don.
"Yep. I know all of them." Don proudly answered.
"Do they know you?" I asked another question.
"......Yes." said Don.
"Are they your friends?"
"...Yeah..."
"If al of them are your friends, how come you aren't there with them? How come you are here with us?" It occurred to me to ask..
".........Listen.This is only once a year thing. This is where all my inspirations come from. Focus on the show. Don't distract me, please." said Don quietly.
Bored with the show, Lisa and Kenny started to have physical fight over the remote control. I thought they were silly because only Don had full privilege of the remote control anyway.
By the time Mrs. Malchovich was back, Academy had been over and Lisa and Kenny had been tucked in their beds. 
The show motivated Don so much and he rushed back home to make his script shorter and more simple.All's well that ends well.
I had a good time with them today.
