There will be dancing in the aisles at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lafayette at 1 pm on June 26th, thanks to Janet Thomas and the phenomenal Shumba Marimba Youth Ensemble from Seattle Washington. Shumba has played at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem and with Dan Zanes at the Moore Theatre, during the Folklife Festival in Seattle. The benefit concert for TIE will be fun and educational for the entire family.

Youth
from Seattle, playing music from Africa, in Lafayette, to benefit Afghanistan! "Melting pot" and "salad bowl" proponents join in the fun and discuss the relative merits of each metaphor. To discover the difference (click here).
