Babe Winkelman Outdoor Secrets Films Manitoba Caribou
Fishing and TV Legend Babe Winkelman and his TV show , Outdoor Secrets, once again visited Ganglers and Canadian Sub-Arctic Hunting to film another phenomenal hunting show. They visited us before, in 2008, filming an excellent spring bear show, featuring a nice colored bear and some real monster boars. The mission for the 2011 show was Babe and his daughter Jasmine joining us on a hunt for Central Barrenground caribou. Despite growing up in the outdoors fishing and hunting, Jasmine has never been on an outfitted big game hunt before so this was a real treat for her.
On the hunt, things couldn’t have gone better. The migration moved in nicely and veteran CSAH guides Bob Ross and Rheal Gravel did their homework well. The hunt and shoot was actually completed amazingly in only two days! Babe and Jasmine each took two great bulls and the filming featured a TV first. Babe and Jasmine did a nice stalk on a herd of boo, accompanied by two cameramen. The segment will show them dropping two great bulls 20’ apart simultaneously. That’s unheard of and will make for an amazing TV show. We can’t wait !
The air dates for this episode of Babe Winkelman’s Outdoor Secrets has not been confirmed as of this date but we are told it will air in late March or early April 2012. We’ll keep you posted and in the meantime enjoy these great pics.

2012 Hunt Openings
With the turn of the New Year and a slowly improving economy, 2012 hunts are filling up. We are now 70% full on spring bear, Central Barrenground caribou, and moose so please do not hesitate to call us if considering a 2012 hunt with CSAH.
CSAH on the Road
On Jan. 19, we’ll be giving a presentation of the Wisconsin SCI chapter at Alioto’s in Wauwatosa, WI. The next night, Jan. 10, we will be exhibiting at the Austin, TX SCI chapter.
