Training to YOU, Inc. was selected as the 2009 recipient of the Community Stewardship Award presented by the Phoenix Business Journal and HandsOn Greater Phoenix at the 2009 Heart of Business Award ceremony.
The Community Stewardship award was created to recognize organizations that gave back to the community through education or training. Tim Smith, President of Training to YOU, Inc. stated, "We are honored to be recognized by the Business Journal as one of Phoenix's top Volunteer businesses. Our Team at Training to YOU, Inc. really cares about people and it's wonderful to be recognized for it."
Training to YOU, Inc. was nominated by Florence Crittenton of Arizona for donating over $5,000 worth of training to the Florence Crittenton staff. Alexadra Almada, Resource Manager, coordinated the training event for Training to YOU, Inc. For Alexandra the nomination and award was very fulfilling, "The volunteer effort was very special to me because I understand some of the hardships firsthand that the young ladies at Florence Crittenton experience. It's been one of the most rewarding experiences to help Florence Crittenton move their mission forward; their mission to help young ladies overcome abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy, and mental health issues. I'm grateful to Tim Smith, president of Training To YOU, who allowed me to pull company resources to provide the training at Florence Crittenton; and, of course, to the staff at Florence Crittenton for nominating us."
