Finalists were chosen by a panel of judges at a audition process in March. The anticipated event of the season is finally here! Bring the whole family to an evening that features 12 outstanding vocalists performing a variety of showstopping songs with a fun competitive edge. The entire audience is the final judge as ballots are cast to determine the evening's winners.

The Hoosier STAR Orchestra conducted by Phil Bauman will perform a variety of arrangements suited to each singer's unique abilities. There is a wide range of musical types at the 7th annual fundraiser for the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra. Styles include: Pop, Ballads, Rock, Show Tunes, Classical and more. Tunes from Celtic Women, Josh Groban, Celine Dion and Adele along with a dash of Verdi and a traditional Chinese piece will fill the air.
To accentuate some of the pieces, members from a versatile back-up chorus called Illumination directed by Becky Osborn will return to the stage. Commenting on each of the finalists are three celebrity judges: Bunny Fisher, jazz performer, Warren Moulton, entertainer/Tenor and the Honorable Blair Milo, Mayor of the City of La Porte. Introducing the contestants is a high energy host for the evening, Ric Federighi from WIMS 1420 AM.
Audience members can purchase and enjoy delicious refreshments from IVY Tech Community College Culinary School, Temple News Agency, and Little Chocolates or choose their favorite beverage from the cash bar furnished by Portofino's Restaurant.
The auditorium's balcony has a great view with live video projections on a large stage screen managed by Lakeshore Publlc Television technicians. If you forget to plan ahead, tickets will be available at the door and the house will open at 6:00 pm. Every ticket holder will be given two paper ballots for voting purposes: one vote for the youth division and one vote for the adult division. A team from Schmitt and Kaylor CPAs will tabulate the ballot boxes to determine the winners. Everyone can vote, even the kids!
