The 12 chosen finalists will prepare for the performance of a lifetime on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 7:00 pm CDT at the La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street, La Porte, IN. Throughout the evening, the audience will choose their favorite stars from the youth and adult division singers by private ballot. The singer with the most votes will rise to the top to become the next star and winner of $1000 cash prize for the adult division.

Auditions were held March 19-20, 2011with over 100 individuals competing for the coveted finalist spots. A panel of five judges with extensive musical backgrounds selected six finalists in the youth division (17 and under) and six in the adult division (18 and over). The judging panelists vary from year to year in order to obtain a balanced and fresh perspective. There was an extensive pool of talent presented at auditions and the finalists were selected after a great deal of deliberation.
