Last week's question, "Have you ever been camping in Pigeon Forge? What's your favorite camping spot?"
Carol from New York says, "My husband and I have been coming to Pigeon Forge for 14 years now and we bought a travel trailer 7 years ago to start camping. Our first year we stayed at the River Bend campground and after that we have been staying yearly at Ripplin Waters Campground in Sevierville. It is just outside of Pigeon Forge, but close to everything we like to visit. This is a very friendly campground and we have met several great people in our stays there."
Ray writes, "We have been camping at the Twin Mountain Campground for about 12 years for the car shows. We get a spot by the water which is very relaxing, but is only a short walk to the strip so we don't miss any of the action. We have so much fun and our group gets bigger every year!
J.R. says, "For years, in the early 90's we used to camp at the "Eagle Nest" camp ground. We just loved the camp ground and the convenience of it. We could be in the mountains in just a few minutes or Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Camping is always such fun as most campers are very friendly and out going, you just make new friends almost every day and it's fun to sit around the camp fires and swap tales." |

While on their visit the two played carnival games and won prizes for Emily's daughter, Ricki. They also rode some of the rides including the new Wild Eagle roller coaster. Then they visited the old theater on the premises where Dolly walked out and surprised the couple on stage! Emily, like most other southern girls worships Dolly Parton and was blown away by her surprise! "Surprised? At Dollywood?" Dolly asked Emily. Dolly asked Emily to sit down for "girl chat" and shared wisdom about her 45-year marriage.

The memorial ceremony begins at 5:15 p.m. and the first pitch is at 6:15 at Smokies Stadium in Kodak, TN. Tennessee Smokies vs Birmingham Barons. Salute to heroes event pays homage to America's fallen heroes and their families with a pre-game memorial program while saluting our veterans, active-duty, reserves, and guard members for their service.
