Question of the Week!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This section is dedicated to you, our readers! Feel free to reply to this email with any of your fun stories from your vacation in Pigeon Forge. Send us photos, memories, travel tips, anything that you would like to tell us about your experience in the Smokies. Every week we will highlight reader's comments in this article. Thanks for all the feedback. We love to hear from you!
This week's question, "What are your kid's favorite things to do in the Smokies or in Pigeon Forge?"
Last week's question, "It's officially Spring! Is Spring your favorite season to visit Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains? Tell us why!"
Carolyn writes, "We enjoy visiting Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains in the Spring because the trees and flowers are so beautiful.  We like to drive through Cades Cove to see the bears and other animals and the beautiful Spring colors there.  We also like to drive up to New Found Gap to enjoy all of God's beauty as the mountains are covered with their beautiful Spring coats of color from Dogwoods, Redbuds, Mountain Laurel, and many other flowers and trees.  We also enjoy visiting Dollywood to enjoy the great shows and restaurants there.  Spring in the Smoky Mountains is beautiful!"
Vickie says, "I have never been to Pigeon Forge in the spring, mostly in fall and winter. Would love to visit this time of year, will continue to try to convince my husband to come. I bet the scenery is beautiful this time of year!!"
Dennis says, "Spring makes the mountains and valleys come alive with new life. The colors of new foliage on the trees and in the fields (like Cade's Cove) are mesmerizing and reflecting. The temperatures, day and night are great and very comfortable with the blowing breezes. The sound the wind makes blowing through the new foliage on the trees is very restful and refreshing. Spring, like the other seasons is definately a unique time in Pigeon Forge."
Carol writes, "Spring is our favorite time of year to come to the Smoky Mountains. The flowers are in bloom and your trees have their leaves, unlike in Lockport, NY where our spring blooming isn't until the end of April. We are looking forward to our annual trip to the Smokies in two weeks. We also enjoy the beginning of Smokies Baseball."
Titanic featured on USA Today!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Pigeon Forge Titanic Museum is part of a 100th anniversary tribute on USA Today. The article names the Pigeon Forge Titanic Museum, "the most lavish monument to the sea's most famous disaster" and notes that the museum in the Smoky Mountains is as far from the sea as the Titanic was from land when it sank 100 years ago.  As the anniversary nears there will be plenty more coverage of the Titanic Museum and we're very excited about "A Night to Remember" and the Rose Petal Tribute, both are a part of the Titanic Museum's anniversary celebrations.

Dolly Parton - The Musical
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dolly Parton is currently writing her life as a musical in 2012.  "I've been writing for a long, long time my life story as a musical," says Dolly. "I don't know how I'm going to do it, if I'm going to do it as a movie, as a series, or if I'm going to do it on stage or some of all, but I've just taken off now to write. I'm just trying to find my place, rest a little bit and pray a little more and feel it out. I know that I'll know exactly what I want to do." Parton already has a clear vision of the musical, "I just picture it sexually, spiritually, successful, all things that I am. I am a coat of many colors."  When she's finished with it, Parton says the musical will feature some of her biggest hits as well as the songs she's in the process of writing. We can't wait!
