Last week's question, "Have any of you taken advantage of the mild winter we've been experiencing? It's a great time to visit the Smokies!" 

Shari says, "Yes! My husband and I came down for the weekend a few weeks ago and spent a lot of time cruising through the Smokies and enjoying the view from our wonderful cabin! The snow is beautiful but when it's warm enough out to enjoy the cool air it makes for a nice getaway!"

This year marks the 18th Annual Mountain Quiltfest Quilt Show March 14 - 17.  Each year Quiltfest welcomes over 20,000 visitors from around the country to the Pigeon Forge area each spring. Quilting enthusiasts bring their work to Pigeon Forge and compete in a world-renown, multi-category quilt show.  A Mountain Quiltfest offers the unique opportunity to see not only creative quilts by highly talented quilters, but also to attend classes and lectures taught by some of the nation's most recognizable names.  

Ongoing - April 10: Titanic's Rose Petal Memorial Tribute - when you visit Titanic Museum Attraction now and throughout the entire year leading up to April 2012, guests will be given an actual rose petal and that rose petal will be placed into a rose petal memorial case - which will then will be placed out to sea by the Coast Guard at the exact site where we lost Titanic 100 years ago on April 15.

Ongoing - February 28: Winterfest in 3D - Winterfest in 3D Glasses are available at the Sevierville Visitor Center on Hwy 66 while supplies last. These glasses help you see Winterfest in a whole new light, as every point of light shifts into a snowflake. 

February 1 - 29: Behind the Scenes of Jim Cameron's Titanic - New exhibit opens at the Titanic Pigeon Forge where you will get some behind the scenes action of what really happened on the ship. Exhibit will run through 2012. For more information call 1-800-381-7670

February 23 - 26: Saddle Up Celebration - The entertainment lineup for the 2012 Saddle Up! Will consist of some of the top performers in western music and cowboy poetry. One of the most popular components of Saddle Up! is a competitive chuckwagon cook-off, on Saturday, Feb. 26.
