This week's question, "Those of you who are planning or have planned a trip to Pigeon Forge what are you most looking forward to?"
Last week's question, "Have you started planning your 2012 trip to Pigeon Forge yet? Will you be visiting this winter or waiting for spring, summer or fall?"
Charlotte writes, "My husband and I will be heading to Pigeon Forge the weekend before Valentine's day to celebrate our anniversary. Then when he takes his vacation in March (Spring Break) we will be heading back up for our "big" vacation. We both love the mountains and the whole area and feel such a peace and calmness when in the mountains."
Janet says, "As a matter of fact I have started planning my 2012 trip to Pigeon Forge. I plan to come in August to celebrate my anniversary. Hoping to stay at Inn at Christmas place again. Want to check out Hatfields & McCoys & Lumberjack Feud which are new shows that have been added to the area. I also found a little bit about something titled Murder & Mayhem that I would like to find out more about. Hopefully they will have a complete website up before long. I enjoyed Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery when I was there last."
Helen writes, "My family and I have started planning are 2012 trip to Pigeon Forge. This year my Husband and I are very excited about the trip because our two sons and their families are going with us. We have plans to go in mid July. I know that we will have a great time with all of the Grandkids, they are already talking about Dollywood and WonderWorks, So many things to do, can't wait."
Debi says, "We usually plan our trips in the Fall & at Christmas, but I have been trying to talk my husband in to one more trip before the beautiful lights are gone. We live 6 hours away or we would be there much more often. Any time of the year is a good time to visit; however, the Fall & Christmastime seem more festive. Ever wonder why people flock to see those wonderful lights? It's because it feels like the closest thing to heaven on earth. The spirit of Christmas in Pigeon Forge (don't even forget Dollywood) is like a step back in time. A good time when people were friendlier and truly happy to see the beauty that the lights of the Season brought. Pigeon Forge has captured this and that is why it is so difficult for us to say goodbye to it each year. Many, many thanks for the spectacular light displays and the joy that you bring so many people hungry for a taste of the past. This holds true for all seasons in the Great Smoky Mountains!" |
