In a recent Trip Advisor list of the Top 10 Winter Ski Destinations, our Gatlinburg placed second on the list just behind Brekenridge, Colorado.  Trip Advisor says Gatlinburg is a great winter destination offering plenty of cold weather fun, including skiing, snowboarding and ice skating at Ober Gatlinburg.  Trip Advisor also mentions that travelers can save up to $700 dollars by staying at a vacation rental in the Smoky Mountains for a weeklong trip.  Others on the list include South Lake Tahoe in 3rd, Big Bear Lake, 4th and Mammoth Lakes, 5th. We're proud of our small Gatlinburg ski destination for topping the list at 2nd place! It's hard to compete with a lot of the huge western ski destinations which are much larger and get much more snow but we're certain that the charm and beauty of the Smoky Mountains are what bring in the visitors!  What are  you waiting for?

Ongoing - April 10: Titanic's Rose Petal Memorial Tribute - when you visit Titanic Museum Attraction now and throughout the entire year leading up to April 2012, guests will be given an actual rose petal and that rose petal will be placed into a rose petal memorial case - which will then will be placed out to sea by the Coast Guard at the exact site where we lost Titanic 100 years ago on April 15.

December 17:  Real Snow in the Smokies! - Part of Titanic's 2nd Annual Christmas in a Winter Wonderland 6:00 p.m. It will snow - yes, REAL snow - at the Titanic. The snow is part of the museum's 2nd Annual "Christmas in a Winter Wonderland," which is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the lives of the 2,208 passengers and crew of the Titanic.
