Kay writes, "Serenity. Because everything is so peaceful and serene. When we need a retreat we head for the Smokies, just to recoup from the stress of everyday life."
Jacob says, "Dazzling! It is definitely dazzling because all of all it has to offer. From Dollywood to Mini Golf. All you have to do is look at the Pigeon Forge Sign and look up and you will be amazed. :)"
Dennis writes, "Unique, there are other "mountain retreats" in and out of state but none compare to Pigeon Forge. Others do not have the numerous attractions and selections of shows, shopping, one of the best amusement parks around and restaurants to suit every taste. All of this and the very best natural scenery in and around Pigeon Forge you cannot find anywhere else. Love the area."
Charlotte says, "Peaceful because each and every time I am in Pigeon Forge surrounded by the mountains I feel such a peace come over me."
Sandy writes, "One word to describe Pigeon Forge....PERFECT! Why? It's centrally located...easy access to Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Townsend, Cades Cove, the Foothills Parkways, and of course the most beautiful place on earth...the Great Smokies! You don't have shoulder-to-shoulder people like Gatlinburg has, and the traffic moves a lot easier too -- except during car shows! :) Wonderful places to eat, comfortably clean places to stay that fit any budget, good shopping (if that's what you're into), an entertaining variety of shows, and most importantly for me -- standing tall in the near distance are those magnificent, calming, beautiful Smoky Mountains that are a balm to my soul. Pigeon Forge, if I could make it happen, you would be my new home."

 This past weekend The Nantahala Outdoor Center had a grand opening celebration for their new retail shop from The North Face brand that will be located inside NOC's retail store in Gatlinburg. They hosted a free event for the opening that was open to the public. The specialty shop designed and merchandised by The North Face will showcase products from The North Face's full line. Featuring gear, footwear, outerwear and apparel for hiking, camping, running, snow sports and casual, customers will be able to shop unique and top-selling items from the popular brand.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  With Halloween less than a week away the haunted houses and corn mazes are filled with visitors and the pumpkin patches are ripe for the pumpkin carvers. There are plenty of haunted houses in the area along with lots of fun Halloween and fall events happening. If you're in town the Ripley's Haunted Adventure is a must this spooky season! Lots of people are still searching for that perfect costume and last minute decorating ideas for fun parties and lots of trick or treators! We hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween this season!!

Fall Foliage

 The fall colors are almost to their peak this week in the Smokies! The mid elevation areas are either at peak or a bit past peak. We're currently seeing vibrant hues of reds, yellows and oranges all over the lower elevations. The cool weather and beautiful fall colors are creating the perfect fall here in the Smokies! You do still have time to visit us this fall! Come for a fun filled Halloween weekend this upcoming weekend or spend next week with us and stay for our Winterfest kickoff! The colors in the lower elevations will probably be peaking in the next week to 10 days so be sure to visit us before it's too late!
