Vickie wrote, "My favorite outdoor summer activity is going to the beach, but I believe if I came to the mountains in Pigeon Forge in the summer I would like that as well if not better."

 

Katherine says, "I love whitewater rafting but this year we're going ziplining so I'm pretty excited about that!"

Patriot Festival

Be sure to join us for the Patriot Festival on the 4th of July! There have been new bands added to the lineup and we're excited about another great festival!  In addition to the headliner, Restless Heart  a bluegrass brother-sister duo The Roys and Mercury Records artist Randy Montana with his latest hit "1,000 Faces," have been added to the lineup.  The festival will begin at noon with the "kid's karnival" and the entertainment starts at 1 pm. Headliner, Restless Heart, is scheduled for an 8:30 performance and the fireworks show will begin at 9:45 p.m. Tune in to the local Knoxville radio station, WIVK-FM, for music to accompany the fireworks.

Cornfields to Condo
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To celebrate Pigeon Forge's 50th anniversary there will be a special premier viewing of a history film of Pigeon Forge called "Cornfields to Condo - A History of Pigeon Forge - 1791 to 2011" at the Forge Cinemas at Walden's Landing.  The film will showcase vintage photos of Pigeon Forge, clips of old family movies and oral histories and stories from the town's officials and other residents.  The premier will be on Thursday, June 30 at 10 am.  The doors will open at 9:30 for the 40 minute film and admission will be free.
