Angie writes, "Tubing in Townsend at River Rat is a great way to beat the heat.  A lounge chair in a quiet place along the creeks or Little Pigeon or jumping off the rocks at The Sinks also do the job.  Free, cheap, and fun!"

Dollywood's Kidfest kicks off this Friday, June 17 and runs through August 7.  Dolly will be making special appearances around the park, as well as a park tours on Friday to kickoff this fun event at Dollywood.  Dollywood's Kidfest is the largest kids' festival in the south!  Kidfest is a fun event where special shows and activities are added to the rides and attractions that you'll find everyday at Dollywood.  This includes three classic children's storybooks being brought to life by the Penguin Players at the Imagination Playhouse with original sing-alongs written by Dolly.  You can also check out the Imagination Cinema where you'll find a 4D movie on the big screen.  Kidfest also welcomes the Gazillion Bubble show where the stage will be filled with amazing bubble art!

The new interactive adventure attraction, Tomb, that was to open this summer in Walden's Landing is now open! Tomb is a pyramid shaped building where visitors will be transported into a themed Indiana Jones style adventure.  Inside they will find themselves in the middle of an Egyptian pharaoh's tomb. From there they will have to find a way out of the tomb with their guide and group.  Be sure to check it out on your next trip to Pigeon Forge!
