Question of the Week!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This section is dedicated to you, our readers! Feel free to reply to this email with any of your fun stories from your vacation in Pigeon Forge. Send us photos, memories, travel tips, anything that you would like to tell us about your experience in the Smokies. Every week we will highlight reader's comments in this article. Thanks for all the feedback. We love to hear from you!
This week's question, "It's almost time for the Dolly Parade, have you ever been?"
Last week's question, "We're having nice spring weather in Pigeon Forge and the spring colors are just beautiful! What is your favorite way to enjoy the springtime in the Smokies?"
Roy writes, "My favorite way to enjoy springtime in the smokies is to do a lot of walking and hiking. When hiking in the park, walking the streets around your vacation cabin, or even taking a stroll thru town, it is so much easier to appreciate all the beauty surrounding you , then when riding in a car.  Whether its the sound of the water from a small mountain stream, the birds chirping, enjoying the wildflowers at a slower pace, or noticing other wildlife that you would have driven right past if riding in an automobile, you just can't beat a hike in the beautiful smoky mountains.   Also, if your lucky enough to see a momma bear with her cubs, that is just the icing on the cake.  Just don't get too close!"
Carolyn says, "Our favorite way to enjoy Springtime in the Smokies is to take a picnic, ride through Cades Cove, then enjoy our picnic at the Cades Cove picnic area.  We enjoy a quiet spot down by the river.  We also enjoy riding around to see all of the beautiful flowers and trees that are blooming."
Yes! We're Still Rafting!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For those of you who have heard about the unfortunate sewage spill into the Little Pigeon River you might think that it has affected the rafting companies in the area.  Just to clarify, the spill was in the Little Pigeon River which runs through Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.  This is a very small river that flows through the towns and is not raftable.  The rafting companies are actually based out of Hartford, TN and you raft down the Pigeon River, the with options of the Upper Pigeon and Lower Pigeon, which are in no way attached to the Little Pigeon.

With that being said, all the rafting companies are open and are gearing up for the summer season.  If you or any one you know have been misinformed and were thinking about cancelling your trip to Pigeon Forge or passing up on your rafting adventure please be sure to pass this information along and start planning your trip.  We're looking forward to a fun summer here in Pigeon Forge!

New Tomb Attraction
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tomb is an interactive adventure attraction that will be opening this summer in Walden's Landing.  Tomb looks like a pyramid and visitors will be transported into a themed Indiana Jones style adventure.  Inside they will find themselves in the middle of an Egyptian pharaoh's tomb. From there they will have to find a way out of the tomb with their guide and group.  This new attraction will be opening in late May and will be located in the Walden's Landing shopping center.  Just look for the big, brightly lit pyramid with the bright color changing lights on top.  Be sure to check it out on your summer trip to Pigeon Forge!
