| Dollywood Opening!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  This Saturday, March 26, is the official opening of Dollywood for the 2011 season. The Dollywood grand opening weekend will be filled with lots of fun happenings at Dollywood but don't get too excited about seeing Dolly there. She isn't guaranteed to be at the opening weekend since it is not the weekend of the Dolly Homecoming Parade. Dolly will be in town on May 6 for the Dolly Parade. If you're really interested in seeing Dolly, be sure to mark you calendars to visit for the 2011 Dolly Homecoming Parade!

| Sevier County Spring Cleaning

There are some upcoming spring cleaning events in Sevier County to prepare for the quickly approaching tourist season. If you're in town, we would love your participation! Keep Sevierville Beautiful is hosting the semi-annual Roads and Rivers day this Saturday, March 26, from 9 am to noon. Each participant is encouraged to bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes and long pants. They will also receive a free ticket for the Tennessee Smokies' "Keep Sevier Beautiful" night scheduled during the baseball season. | Spring Grand Rod Run

 The Spring Grand Rod Run kicks off the car show season with classic Fords, Chevy/GMCs and Gold Wings. Join us April 15 - 17 with thousands of other classic car, truck and motorcycle enthusiasts as they make the pilgrimage to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville, Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains each year for the first, big Pigeon Forge car show. Pigeon Forge is a popular host to rod runs and car shows. Participants love to take their classic car or hot rod group on a Smoky Mountain scenic drive.

April 2: Gatlinburg Gateway Triathlon - This is the third annual triathlon, which is headquartered at the Gatlinburg Community Center and starts at 8:15 a.m. The triathlon is open to anyone 15 years and older capable of swimming one-half mile, biking twenty kilometers, and running five kilometers consecutively. April 2 - 3: Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament - The 12th Annual Spring Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is open to adults or children. It is equally challenging for both visitors and locals, with multiple categories to be contested in this largest trout tournament in the Smokies.
