We look forward to the first of our five annual trips to the Smokies in March. We want to see the flowers blooming and enjoy warm Spring temperatures along the way."
Vickie says, "I would like to have 1 more snow, then I am ready for spring. Would love to visit Pigeon Forge when there is snow . I bet it is beautiful. The Bell Island Project could be making a comeback! A Knoxville developer has high hopes to bring back the Belle Island Village project. They also have plans for construction of a new $44.9 million events center for the city of Pigeon Forge. A lot of the construction for Belle Island was completed, but a firm behind the project filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and Belle Island was taken over by lenders at foreclosure auctions. Pigeon River Land Partners LLC. plan to get the project started again. Read the full story.
