This week's question, "To celebrate the kickoff of the 25 days of Christmas, what are your top 5 favorite holiday songs?"

Last week's question, "What is your favorite Christmas show in Pigeon Forge?"

Julie writes, "The Black Bear Jamboree Christmas spectacular is without a doubt the very best Christmas Show in the Smokies.  The Food always delicious. The service fantastic. For us this show truly captures the meaning and feeling of the Holiday Season. The people cast as Raggedy Ann & Andy do a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. The music is of such a wide variety that everyone in our group found something to love. The dancing is outstanding. The living nativity at the end was heart-warming and brought the true meaning of Christmas to our hearts. Those big bears added a lot of humor to the entire production. The sets and lighting were second to none. So don't miss this show! As I understand it, this is the last year for the Black Bear Jamboree. The owners are bringing in a Hatfield and McCoy dinner feud and stunt show. Which sounds fun, but this Christmas Show will be missed. It is the best I have ever seen."

Cades Cove Closure Begins Today
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Cades Cove Loop will close for pest control for a couple days this week.  Starting Wednesday, December 1 park managers will close the loop to all vehicles to treat hemlock trees infected by the hemlock woolly adelgid.  During the closure on December 1st, only hikers will be allowed to travel the Loop Road.  The spraying operation on December 2nd will only impact the western end of the Loop Road. Motorists and cyclists will be able to enter the Loop as they normally would, but will have to detour across the Loop via Hyatt Lane (the second gravel crossroad) to exit Cades Cove.  Hikers can continue through the closed portion. The detour will shorten the length of the trip to an 8-mile tour of Cades Cove.
