~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This section is dedicated to you, our readers! Feel free to email us any of your fun stories from your vacation in Pigeon Forge. Send us photos, memories, travel tips, anything that you would like to tell us about your experience in the Smokies. Every week we will highlight reader's comments in this article. Thanks for all the feedback. We love to hear from you!
This week's question, "What is your favorite part about Winterfest in Pigeon Forge?"
Last week's question, "Is anyone spending Thanksgiving in Pigeon Forge, or have previously spent Thanksgiving in Pigeon Forge? Tell your story!"
Linda writes, "My family and I spent every Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg when our children were younger. We absolutely loved picking a different restaurant every year to enjoy our traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Even though our children are grown, every Thanksgiving they talk about how much fun they had in Gatlinburg and how that was one of their favorite memories of growing up. We'd get up late, go eat dinner and then hike the mountains. What a perfect day!!"
Gail says, "My husband and I were married nine years ago on November 23, 2001 in Pigeon Forge. We were married at the cabin we were staying in by the "Hillbilly Preacher". My two grown children were with us and afterwards we went to Dollywood to celebrate. We all come back every year for the week of Thanksgiving to celebrate our anniversary and Thanksgiving. Now we are also joined by our two grandchildren. They are ages 6 & 2 and have been coming every year since they were born. Great memories for all!!" |
| Hatfield & McCoy News!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Most have heard about the new dinner show coming to Pigeon Forge, the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud and Stunt Show. Although we're sad to see the Black Bear Jamboree go, we're all excited about the new show! The new production is scheduled to open in early Spring of next year, and will be loosely based on the true story of the famous Hatfield and McCoy feud. The audience will be divided into the Hatfield and McCoy families by special seating areas. The show will extend throughout the theater as the audience participates in the good natured rivalry. Dangerous and comical stunts will be performed throughout the show to add a special excitement. Singers, dancers, actors, musicians and specially trained stunt people will round out the cast. As with all Fee/Hedrick shows, this new show will have a family friendly atmosphere with a focus on fun.
