Question of the Week!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This section is dedicated to you, our readers! Feel free to email us any of your fun stories from your vacation in Pigeon Forge. Send us photos, memories, travel tips, anything that you would like to tell us about your experience in the Smokies. Every week we will highlight reader's comments in this article. Thanks for all the feedback. We love to hear from you!
This week's question, "What are you, or your children being for Halloween?"
Last week's question, "Fall and Winter are both beautiful seasons in Pigeon Forge, do you prefer the fall foliage or the Winterfest lights?"
Linda writes, "While the Winterfest lights are beautiful, the Fall foliage is my favorite! The brilliant red, yellow and orange leaves are breathtaking. The Smokies is my favorite fall destination."
Carolyn says, "I have been coming to Gatlinburg with my parents since the mid 1950s and with my husband since out honeymoon in 1966. We are always there the first and second week of November. We especially enjoy the Winterfest lights, the light trolleys and the Christmas lights and shows at Dollywood. Several years the trees have still been wearing their fall colors at that time. Any time in the Smokies is beautiful and we especially like November."
Grace writes, "My husband and I have been to Pigeon Forge several times in the fall and it is always BEAUTIFUL, but this year we are coming for our 25th wedding anniversary in late November, so we will get to see the Christmas lights and shows. The best of both seasons!"
Teresa says, "Fall is my favorite time, it's just gorgeous in the Smokies this time of year. I'm leaving tomorrow as a matter of fact. I have seen Winterfest at Christmas time and it really makes the holidays in the Smokies extra special. I have combined the best of both worlds before and stayed the first week of November to enjoy the fall foliage and the Winterfest Kickoff. We were able to enjoy a concert by the Coasters in the center of Gatlinburg that year, it was awesome."
Sharon writes, "My family and I were in Pigeon Forge the weekend of October 15 - 17. I love the fall leaves and all the fall decorations in the area. We have also vacationed during January, enjoyed the Winterfest lights and a light show. I would have to say the Winterfest lights are my favorite. Thanks to all that participate in these beautiful displays for everyone to enjoy!" |
