| Snow in the Smokies!

 According to the LeConte Lodge blog, the first snow of the season welcomed them Monday morning. Mt. LeConte is the Smokies third highest peak at 6,593 feet. They reported 3 inches of fresh snow overnight. This is the biggest first snowfall since 1979! The high Sunday was 39 degrees and the low was 24. Looks like it's going to be a cold winter here in the Smokies!
The winters at LeConte Lodge are very cold and snowy, so if you still want to get in a hike this year, you should take advantage soon! There are many different ways to hike the mountain just make sure you check the weather before you start your hike!

| Gospel Music Group Presents Dolly with Award ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dollywood recently hosted events for the southern gospel music community's annual inductions for the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The park holds a month-long National Southern Gospel and Harvest Celebration where some of the biggest names in gospel stroll down the red carpet for the awards ceremony. Dollywood hosts the events and since without Dolly, none of this would be possible, she was present the whole day making appearances throughout the park and performed one of the gospel songs she wrote with the Kingdom Heirs. She was also presented the Southern Gospel Music Association's James D Vaughan Impact Award.

| The Hazzard Run

 The 2010 Hazzard Run will be October 9 - 10 Nashville to Gatlinburg. The run will kick off with a gathering at Cooter's in Nashville, TN on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, all cars will depart for Gatlinburg. Hazzard Run Will Be Lead By Ben "Cooter" Jones & Rick Hurst "Deputy Cletus Hogg". The run will travel I-40 East, stopping in Crossville, TN and then head onward to Cooter's in Gatlinburg, arriving late afternoon to early evening.
