Kathy wrote, "We just fell in love with the Smokies and decided that is where we will get married. We chose a small Wedding Chapel, booked a cabin and just had a great time. It was mid January and there was just a dusting of snow outside the Chapel. Now we visit every year and cherish our wonderful wedding day memories in the Smokies.
Teri wrote, "We were married in gatlinburg, Nov. 18th, l995. We wanted just a quiet, real, church service, and that's what we got, in the very peaceful surroundings of the Smoky Mts. The Christmas lights were up, and mixed in with fall colors, just beautiful! We had our wedding pics taken at one of the old timey places. We loved it so much!" |

Great Smoky Mountain Annual Auto Fest at Smokies Stadium

If you want to attend one of the famous rod runs but are interested in trying something different, check out the Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest. What's different about this particular show is the location, instead of the packed parkway in Pigeon Forge, this show is at the Smokies Baseball Stadium. Come out September 22 - 25 where you will see a wide variety of autos, attend the swap meet and car corral, enjoy cash and prize giveaways, a Thursday night cruise in and downtown block party. If you want to do your part in helping the Smokies, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Friends of the Smokies have created a great volunteer opportunity called Trails Forever Work Day, where you have the opportunity to work with professional trail workers to make lasting and important improvements to trails throughout the park. There are only 2 work days left, September 10 and October 8. Make sure you're doing your part to help out the Great Smoky Mountains!
