Question of the Week, "Have you visited any of the new Pigeon Forge attractions? Which ones and what did you like about them?"
Last Week's Question, "What is your favorite time of year to visit Pigeon Forge and why?"
Tom Writes, "We will visit any time of the year, but our favorite is the Fall. We are from Georgia and Fall hits the Smokies before us and it is so relaxing to visit in September and October and feel that cool, crisp air, especially in the evenings and early mornings. Honestly, any time of year is a good time of year in the mountains. For us, Fall is such a busy time of year and spending a nice relaxing autumn weekend in the mountains is just the little break away we need."
Carolyn says, " Our favorite time of year to visit the Smokies is Fall, particularly November. The Christmas lights have just been turned on when we arrive and the crowds are not so heavy as in Summer. We enjoy the Trolley Light Tours in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoy Christmas in the Smokies and the other Christmas shows at Dollywood and of course all of the Christmas lights at Dollywood. We enjoy driving through Cades Cove because we usually see lots of deer and we often see bears in the Fall."
Jeannette writes, "Our favorite time of year to visit is in the spring. We were there in the fall of 08 & in the spring of 09 & also this past spring of 2010.We enjoyed both times but I think we enjoyed the spring visits more. We have more days in which to choose from to take our vacation during spring break, plus we liked the weather better in the spring then in the fall. We stayed in a cabin all 3 times we have been there, the cabins we stayed in were beautiful. We hope to get back there again sometime in the future." |
