Stringtime in the Smokies!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Make plans now to attend "StringTime in the Smokies." StringTime is August 13 - 14, 2010 and takes place in the area surrounding Pigeon Forge's Old Mill and Patriot Park. The 2-day event features some of the area's finest Appalachian musicians, pickers, crafters, and artisans who demonstrate their skills and share their knowledge with Pigeon Forge visitors. There will be jam sessions, great food, a cornhole tournament and you can see and hear Phil Leadbetter and Friends plus the "Step Above" Cloggers! Admission to the event is free and don't forget to bring along your own instruments, and get in on all the fun!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Join us at midnight on July 31st for a midnight road race down the Pigeon Forge parkway! You can register up until the night of the race, but if you sign up today, and before July 16th, you will get the best deal on registration and you are also guaranteed a t-shirt! Registration cost if you sign up before the 16th is $20. After the 16th will begin late registration, online only, through July 28th for $25 and you can also register at the race for $30. Register here online or you can mail the registration form in to the Knoxville Track Club. Also feel free to put a team together for the race, but you must pre register your team to enter the competition.
