Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival

Pigeon Forge Patriot FestivalThe 20th Annual Patriot Festival begins July 3rd at Patriot Park in the heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Festivities get started at 1:00 p.m. The City of Pigeon Forge offers many musical performances, food from local non-profit organizations, several inflatables and activities for children and a "Veterans Salute."  Lastly, the night sky will come to life with a fantastic fireworks display as a thank you to our guests and citizens for supporting Pigeon Forge! The fireworks usually start at 9:30-9:45 p.m.

This year WIVK is sponsoring the event and listeners should bring a lawn chair (no umbrellas, please) and prepare to enjoy an outstanding lineup of live musical entertainment including Diamond Rio, Grafite, Steve Azar, Eden's Edge, Thompson Square, TelluRide and Jimbo Whaley and Greenbrier. Visitors will also enjoy the Pigeon Forge Community Chorus!  Don't forget this event is completly free of charge and open to the public!  
 
Gatlinburg's 4th of July Events

Gatlinburg holds two famous 4th of July events, the Midnight Independence Day Parade and the Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta.

For the 35th consecutive year, Gatlinburg kicks off America's Independence Day celebration with the nation's first parade, which leads off at midnight (12:00 a.m.) on Saturday. Then at noon, Gatlinburg's popular River Raft Regatta takes place Sunday, July 4th, on the Little Pigeon River in downtown Gatlinburg. The unmanned river raft race will begin at Christ in the Smokies and is open to anything floatable except balls and plastic eggs. Registration takes place between 10 a.m. and noon, with the race beginning at noon. Support for the River Raft Regatta is provided by the Gatlinburg Recreation Department.

We've had some great visitor photo entries of where everyone has put their PF oval sticker so we've decided to choose a winner!  This Friday, June 18, we will end the contest and choose a winner, so it's not too late to submit your photo!  Make sure you enter before Friday for a chance to win!
