New Car Show - Grand Resort Rod & Kustom National ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  There is a new car show coming to Pigeon Forge! The "Kerbela Shriner's - Grand Resort Rod & Kustom Nationals" car show will be held at the Grand Resort Hotel April 22nd through the 25th, immediately following the Grand Spring Rod Run. Vehicles of all kinds, entertainment, a swap meet and exhibitor's booths will be held at the Pigeon Forge Convention Center at Light 5, on Jake Thomas Road in Pigeon Forge. Admission price per adult is $10, children under the age of 16 are free. | National Junior Ranger Day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Great Smoky Mountains National Park will celebrate the fourth annual National Junior Ranger Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24, with special activities in two of the Park's visitor centers, and in the town of Gatlinburg in conjunction with the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage's Greener Living Expo. Children and their families can join in a variety of free, hands-on activities at Sugarlands Visitor Center near Gatlinburg; W. L. Mills Conference Center in Gatlinburg; and Oconaluftee Visitor Center near Cherokee, N.C. National Junior Ranger Day is a special event for National Park Week, celebrated this year between April 17 and 25. This year's theme is "Share a park, shape a life."

April 20: Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Third Annual Earth Day Festival - at Mynatt Park from 3:00-7:00 p.m. This event is open to the public, free to attend and features earth-friendly crafts, informational booths and children's activities. This year's festival will also feature food vendors, live music and a small disc golf display.
April 21 - 25: 60th Annual Wildflower Pilgrimage and Greener Living Expo at W. L. Mills Conference Center. The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is an annual five-day event in Great Smoky Mountains National Park consisting of a variety of wildflower, fauna, and natural history walks, motorcades, photographic tours, art classes, and indoor seminars. The Gatlinburg Chamber will be arranging to have speakers on Friday, April 23 and fully support the efforts on this event, especially in this milestone year! more info
April 22: Ribfest & Wings - Gatlinburg's 8th Annual Ribfest & Wings festival will feature extended hours (5 to 9 p.m., with food sampling starting at 6) and loads of atmosphere as the Parkway transforms into a Street Fair between Traffic Light 6 and Riverside Motor Inn/Reagan Terrace Mall.
