Question of the Week! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This section is dedicated to you, our readers! Feel free to email us any of your fun stories from your vacation in Pigeon Forge. Send us photos, memories, travel tips, anything that you would like to tell us about your experience in the Smokies. Every week we will highlight reader's comments in this article. Thanks for all the feedback. We love to hear from you.

Question of the Week, "Spring Break is right around the corner! Has anyone spent Spring Break in the Smokies? Tell us about it."

Last week's question, "What is your best memory in the Smokies?"

Tommy writes, "My favorite of all is when my daughter asked me if she could get married in the Smokies,She loves the area just as much as we do and I was excited to say to her lets do it.She chose Almost Heaven At Cobbly Nob and the wedding planers were so easy to work with.On July 22.2005 I was one proud Dad."

Kathleen says, "In the 1950's my family would pack our car to the hilt with a tent , air matresses and all the other camping equipment and head out of Ohio for the Smokies for a week. We set up camp at the Chimneys. There were 4 kids and Mom and Dad.  Pigeon Forge was a very small town back then. We would come to town for groceries. We spent a lot of time hiking and driving through Cades Cove.  What fond memories I have of the Smokies 55 yrs ago. Now I take my family there to vacation.  We stay in a cabin, but still enjoy the hiking and going through Cades Cove just like I did in the '50's."

Craig and Alice Duhe write, "My husband and I came to Pigeon Forge for our 15 year anniversary.  It was a spur of the moment trip.  We LOVED it.  So much to do in so little time.  We decided for 18th year and for Thanksgiving of 2009 we would go back for a week.  The best part of that trip was when he and I decided to visit Cades Cove. Tennessee is my home away from home.  When my husband and I retire we will visit more often.  Hopefully we may even retire there.  Tennessee is such a wonderful place to vacation or just to visit.  The mountains are breath taking, the people are friendly and the attractions are just amazing.  Thanks to Tennessee and to the wonderful people we met for making out anniversary and Thanksgiving the most memorable ever."

Mountain Hope's Pirates Ball ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A popular local fundraiser where pirates take over the Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies all in the name of helping to provide medical care for those in need. 2010 will mark the fifth year the Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic has held the Pirates Ball at the aquarium. The money raised at the ball helps tremendously with the low and no cost health care facility. This event is the largest fund draw of the year for Mountain Hope which relies on such private contributions to offer its services. This night is not only about fundraising, everyone is expected to have a great time while doing so! All attendees are invited to dress appropriately to dance the night away as if they were on a pirate ship as their best pirate or wench. Although if you have a penguin suit you're welcome to wear that as well since the aquarium just announced their opening of the penguin exhibit. This is such a fun and unique event and we hope everyone will come out and support Mountain Hope on March 11. Tickets are available now by calling the clinic at 865-774-7684.
