October 29th and 30th "Costume" Party
Halloween 2009

This Friday we start the weekend off with our "Gathering" at the hotel bar beginning at 9:00pm. After which, we will gravitate to the 7th floor at 10:30 for a start the weekend floor party. It's been a long time since we have had this kind of crowd on a Friday night. Its $20 for Friday night only and its included if you pay for Saturday Night.

This will be our part 3 installment celebrating the past years at this hotel. Yes, it has been 3 years since we moved to this hotel and things just keep getting better. If you are looking for something to do Saturday, we will have a hall decorating party on the 7th floor around 3ish. Things will begin with the new comer's seminar at 6:45pm across from the ballroom. We have over 25 new couples signed up.

But then the real fun starts in the huge ballroom at the base of the tower at 8pm. A night of showing off your costume as the first couples that get there will receive a complimentary picture. We have already surpassed last year's numbers and expect over 300 people. Then, throughout the night we will have several costume contests to boot including our signature "Spank the Monkey' contest. Did I mention that DJ Richie Rich will be there to stir up the night! You might remember him as the priest DJ last year at Halloween.

Then when the midnight hour is at hand you might dare to adventure to the 7th floor for the after hours "Tower of Terror" party. DJ Rich will resume the music through the rest of the night on the party floor.

Virginia Friends has long been reviewing the idea of changing the fee schedule. Therefore, we have instituted a new plan to keep the annual $25 membership fee and also add a lifetime membership fee of $50. We will however, reduce the discount fee for couples that RSVP from $10 to $5 starting the New Year. Remember, we have to charge a nominal fee to keep our club a private party by law.


September School Girls, Sports and Blacklight Party
2010 Blacklight Party

Last year we listened and we heard. So with a refined atmosphere we made our annual "Black Light" party even better. We started off with a school girl / sports night theme and then at midnight the lights went out. Even before the lights went out the line was forming for the ladies to get body painted. The fluorescent painted girls with the glow sticks was definitely a site to behold. We had more girls this year donating their body canvas's for the cause. Special thanks to all that did. The contest as always was a hit. We are definitely keeping this one in our pocket for next year.


Gathering Update
Chrome in Hampton Roads

We were a little nervous about the new bar but as it turned out we ended up having a great time. Chrome was the place to be for our Hampton Roads "Gathering" in September. We decided to skip October and concentrate on our Halloween party but now we are back. In November we will continue our tradition with our annual Staff appreciation party on the 13th


Hotel Information
Crown Plaza West End Richmond

Reminder. We are back at the "Crown Plaza West End" this month. The hotel, as with the rest of the industry, has become a non smoking hotel. The hotel would like to remind us that if you do go outside to smoke you will need your room key to get back in since they fixed the locks last month.

The hotel has held its rate at only $79.00 per night (plus taxes) for this weekend. If you plan on staying, call the reservation desk at: 804- 285-9951 and let them know you are with Virginia Friends (VAF).

The hotel has sold the tower section out but there are still plenty of rooms left in the hotel near the ballroom. All other guests will be placed toward the front of the hotel for our privacy.
