Sonoco Helps Toyota Avoid Feeling the Burn!
Traditional transportation packaging for fragile automotive components, such as front grilles or trim pieces, has been to use a rack that has hanging bags made of synthetic fiber. Unfortunately, when the plastic grille is removed from the bag rack, it casues "burning" due to the friction between the plastic grille and the synthetic fiber.
To resolve this, Sonoco engineers created a TransGuard Custom Dunnage pack that both protects the product during shipment and avoids the "burning." Toyota had used TransGuard on the past model of the Toyota Tacoma truck grille, and came to us again with the new model year.
