What once was a functioning farm in Chappaqua has been divided into parcels of land and tastefully developed. Natural elements, such as creeks, have been preserved. And as the final stages of construction begin on the last residential parcel, one last element still remains.

The last building to be removed from the original farm is an old barn constructed in 1900/1901. Instead of letting a demolition crew knock down the barn and replace with a new home, the developers contacted Build It Green!NYC's Deconstruction Team to handle the dismantle. Together with the demo contractor, we have been able to salvage approximately 70% of the barn. From posts to beams, joists to rafters, windows to doors, no item was overlooked in this deconstruction project!
