This Just In: Reclaimed Bowling Alley Lanes!
Build It Green!NYC Astoria has just received a shipment of an-all-time BIG!NYC favorite: Reclaimed Bowling Alley Lanes! Constructed from super-dense Maple and Heart Pine, these took a real beating over the years in their home a few hours north, but hardly show any wear. Traditionally destined for the dump, reclaimed bowling lane has made a name for it self in recent years as a furniture making material. It can be re-used as table tops, benches, shelving systems, and counter-tops (but be careful, it's heavy!).
- Decorative Maple comes in sections of 18.5' x 3.5' ($10/sq ft) [pictured right]
- Heart Pine comes in sections of 10' x 3.5' ($7/sq ft)
Now those are some BIG pieces, but don't worry we can cut it to any size for you for the low price of $75 (bowling alley is exceptionally hard to cut, so let us do the dirty work for you). Feel free to contact Ellis@bignyc.org with further questions.
