I hope you can join me Wednesday, August 3rd for the Redistricting Public Hearing in district 4. The meeting will be held at the Orange County Cooperative Extension Auditorium on 6021 South Conway Road, Orlando, FL 32812 from 6:00-8:30pm.  

It is important for all Orange County Citizens to have input, as the Redistricting Advisory Board creates their recommendations for re-drawing the legislative lines within Orange County.  As a result of tremendous growth over the past decade, the boundaries for district 4 will be redrawn with approximately 63,000 less people.  This means that there is a very good chance that if you live in district 4, you could have a new county commissioner next year. This process takes place only once every 10 years.  Many maps have been submitted for consideration.  These maps will be available at the Aug 3rd meeting, but you can also see them here .
