Join me on May 18th for the 8th Annual Ride of Silence to honor cyclists lost or injured on the road due to careless drivers.  This year's event is organized by the East Side Cycling Club and I'm honored to be a part of it. As a recreational cyclist myself and a board member of our local transportation planning organization, Metro Plan, I hope you will consider participating in this event alongside me.

Thursday, May 18th

7 p.m.

Beginning at Avalon Park YMCA

12001 Avalon Lake Drive

At the same time nationwide, cyclists will take the road in a silent procession.  The ride is free and asks cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph.  Over 200 cyclists are expected to participate and I hope you will to.

If you have any questions please visit the official website, www.rideofsilence.org, or call Susan Makowski in the District 4 office at 407-836-5916.

Thanks,
