Please join me and Orange County staff this Tuesday, for a community meeting to discuss traffic calming on Mailer Boulevard.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

6:30 p.m.

Avalon Elementary School

13500 Tanja King Blvd.

Property owners on Mailer Boulevard have approved installation of 4 speed humps on their street through a ballot.  However, the recent installation of a 4-way stop at the intersection of Mailer Boulevard and Cleary Way may have resulted in changing driver behavior along the roadway.  This meeting is scheduled to ensure that all property owners are fully informed of the speed humps project.  Consideration to reduce the number of speed humps from 4 to 3 and remove the proposed speed hump in the townhome section of Mailer Boulevard, will be addressed at this meeting as well.

Please also plan attend our Crime Prevention Meeting on Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. located at the Orange County Sherrif Substation at 11000 Lake Underhill Road.  Crime Prevention Specialists will cover neighborhood watch initiatives, graffiti prevention, safety grants and how we can unite against crime.

I hope to see you this this week.

Thank you,
